A fine and elegant 19th century French Louis XVI style, carved 'Bergere a Oreilles' wingback 'Bergere' armchair standing on tapering and fluted legs, the timber frame decorated with hand carved continuous-ribbon mouldings and with floral motifs. Please note the excellent walnut patination. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
Please note: this armchair was originally part of a set, which sells separately. It includes the pair of 'fauteuil' armchairs #16365, the pair of chairs #16366 and the 'canape' sofa #16399.
Photos taken indoors, and photos taken in outdoor lighting conditions show different tones of fabric, although the fabric is identical.
Condition report: Complete and in good, unrestored condition. This armchair needs reupholstery.
