A large French Louis XVI Bookcase

An elegant mid 20th century French Louis XVI style, flame mahogany and brass-mounted bookcase, the top section with four glazed doors, above a lower section with four shallow drawers and pull-out slides and four cupboard doors. Please note the jewellery-like quality of handles and mounts offset against the polished mahogany timbers, and the Classical proportions of this piece, which is typical of the fine cabinetmaking workshops of the Parisian 'Faubourg Saint Antoine' district. Condition report: In very good and original, unrestored condition. Missing the internal shelves, which our workshop will be able to recreate.
Dimensions: Length 240 cm, depth of lower section 50 cm, depth top section 35 cm, overall height 235 cm.
