An 18th century Italian carved and gilded urn shaped candelabrum, originally made for a chapel's altar, the urn therefore designed to be viewed from the front only and hence only made as a half-urn. Later electrified and fitted with a typically shaped 'Ventola' lampshade. Please note that the shallowness of this lamp allows it to sit on a narrow console table or ledge. Area of Florence, Italy, circa 1780 (the candelabrum and circa 1960 (the lampshade).
Condition report: The gilded urn showing surface wear suitable for its age, the lampshade with slight surface wear.
