A 19th century French Napoleon III period green velvet upholstered 'Crapaud' armchair, standing on elegant Cabriole feet covered by typically long braids, the rounded back-rest above scrolled arm-rests. This armchair is made for comfortable seating. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

There is a pair of Crapaud armchairs that match this chair in the same fabric but are slightly larger, please ask for further information.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition, showing wear in keeping with its age. Most of the pressed velvet marks may be able to be removed with a steam-clean.

Dimensions: Width 72 cm, depth 72 cm, height of backrest 85 cm, of seat 35 cm.
