A large-sized, hand-modelled French 'Barbotine' majolica rooster, a symbolic 'coq gaulois', decorated with polychrome faience, in natural tones, and with a crackle-glazed finish. Area of France, circa 1900. 

Condition report: In good and original condition, no chips or cracks.

Dimensions: Overall height 73 cm, from tip of tail to beak 50 cm, width 27 cm.
