A rare, early 19th century French Provincial glazed earthenware oil jar decorated with ribbing patterns, fitted with two handles and a long conical spout. This type of "pot a huile" was typically used to store walnut oil. Area of the Perigord (present-day Dordogne), circa 1830.
Condition report: In good and original condition, showing slight wear in keeping with its age and use.
