An 18th century French Provincial, Louis XV period walnut side table, the sort of item that was regularly moved around a drawing room to serve various purposes: to place a reading lamp on, to eat at, to play cards at, to write at. A shallow drawer with internal compartments opens at one end. Standing on slender and elegant Cabriole legs. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1770.
Condition report: In good, as found condition, needing small repairs, a surface clean and a wax & buff. Two of the legs have been cleaned (by the previous owner) to reveal a paler timber tonality. The top requires a replacement, old piece of leather to be inserted.
