An early 20th century French Louis XVI style mahogany and gilt brass mounted console table of excellent Classical proportions, the moulded edge Carrara marble top above a 'D' shaped mahogany base, standing on turned and fluted legs supporting a sturdy shelf. The two curved ends open up with secret drawers, operated by a hidden mechanism. Please note the fine workmanship of this console, typical of a cabinet making workshop of the Parisian 'Faubourg Saint Antoine'. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
Condition report: In excellent and original, unrestored condition. Requiring a final wax and buff.
