An 18th century French Regence period table, originally used in a monastery both as a kitchen food/preparation and as a dining table, the massive oak top has been very well-burnished and marked by generations of use. Standing on sturdy 'X' shaped oak uprights joined by a stretcher. The underside and the top showing early construction techniques used. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris) circa 1720.
