A 19th century French Regence style, 'Buffet Vaissellier' sideboard from the area of Normandy, the top-section is a plate rack, decorated with a pediment featuring a central haut-relief carved trellis of flowers and with egg-and-dart mouldings, above three plate-shelves each decorated with finely-turned balustrades. The lower section fitted as a two door cupboard, the two ample doors decorated with haut-relief carved stylised foliate motifs. The cupboard is internally fitted with a sturdy shelf. Area of Rouen, Normandy, circa 1860.
Condition report: Complete and in good and original, unrestored condition.
