A pair of 18th century French, Louis XVI period “Flambeaux” gilt bronze candlesticks, the balusters finely decorated with fire-gilt satin and burnished gold on etched, stylized foliate motifs, standing on etched, circular plinths. The surfaces nicely worn, the bronze showing through the finely chased and fire-gilt finish. Paris, circa 1780.
Condition report: In good and original condition, showing wear suitable for its age.
