A 19th century French Napoleon III period terracotta sculpture of a cherub sitting on his quiver of arrows and playing with a dove, an exact copy of a famous work by Jean-Baptiste Pigalle (Paris 1714–1785) known as "L'Ange à la Colombe" (the cherub and the dove) - an allegory for Love. The rear of the sculpture with the signature "Pigalle". Area of Paris, circa 1870.
Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition, showing slight surface wear in keeping with its age.
