A set of eight Provincial Ladderback Chairs

A set of eight early 20th century French Provincial carved oak ladder-back Louis XV style chairs, each chair fitted with a drop-in ‘envelope’ rush seat. Please note the stylised haut relief carved foliate motifs of the top ladderback rungs and on the front rails. Very comfortable to sit on, these are good and sturdy everyday-use chairs. Area of Southern France, circa 1930. Please note that this set can be added to very similar chairs, item #15691.
These chairs are currently able to be viewed at Michelle Kindness Design, 21A Beatty Ave, Armadale VIC.
Condition report: In good condition, needing a clean and a wax & buff.
Dimensions: Width 45 cm, depth 40 cm, height of backs 98 cm.
