A fine, 18th century French Louis XV period carved walnut 'Fauteuil à la Reine' armchair with an upholstered seat, back-rest and arm-rests and retaining a well-worn velvet fabric edged by bronze studs. Please note the exquisitely carved mouldings and the broadness of the proportions. Area of Paris, circa 1760.

Condition report: In good and as found condition, showing wear in keeping with its age and use. Please note that this armchair has an inherent fragility and should be used mainly as a bedroom armchair, not something to 'plonk' oneself on. Please enquire if you want our workshop to assess its condition.
