A pair of 19th century French Louis XVI style Fauteuil armchairs of fine and Classical proportions, the woven rattan cane of the back-rests and seats decorated with faint criss-cross patterns, the backrest rail with 'Chapeau' top rails, standing on elegantly carved, tapering and fluted legs. These armchairs are fitted with protective squab cushions for the woven cane seats, and have seats tall enough to sit at a dining table or a desk. Please note the wonderful luminosity of the timbers. Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition, requiring light polishing.
