A French Majolica Asparagus Platter

A French 'Barbotine' asparagus-server with its original drainer plate fitted into the shaped platter, the majolica platter and drainer are decorated with haut-relief bunches of asparagus and artichokes. Please note the wonderful colours of the glazes. Area of Luneville, France, circa 1880.
