A pair of 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style, finely carved walnut Fauteuil armchairs of wonderful quality and proportions. Decorated with Neoclassical elements, including paterae, string-of-pearl mouldings, acanthus leaf mouldings and fluting. Please note the very fine proportions and the crisp quality of the carved timbers. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition. Please feel free to enquire regarding any restoration work which may be required.
Dimensions: Width 62 cm, height of backs 98 cm. Height of armchair seats 44 cm.
