An early 20th century French Empire style, finely cast, chased and gilt brass, Classic Roman urn shaped table light, standing on a turned Gris Saint Anne marble and a tripod pedestal plinth, decorated with caryatids. Fitted with simple, a dark grey linen shade which highlights the fine metalwork of the base. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
Condition report: In good and original condition, fully rewired to Australian safety standards using a gold silk electrical cord with a cord-switch.
Dimensions: Height to lightbulb holder 34 cm. Height to top of shade 47 cm.
