A French table lamp made from the mechanism of a 19th century French Comtoise grandfather clock. This skeleton of this clock mechanism, showing all cogs, pulleys and workings has been wired and fitted with a lightbulb holder, nd fitted with an antique parchment lampshade. The mechanism is from the area of Normandy, circa 1870, the lampshade dates to circa 1930.
Condition report: In good condition, fully rewired to Australian safety standards using a gold silk electrical cord with a cord-switch.
