A large Venetian Blackamoor Light

A large 19th century Italian Baroque style, carved and painted figure of a 'Blackamoor' decorated in the manner of 17th century sculptor Andrea Brustolon (1662-1732), standing on its Classically-shaped plinth, holding up a gilt wrought iron five-light candelabrum which has been re-electrified. Please note the high quality of the artisanship used in this carved and decorated standing light. Area of Venice, circa 1880.
Condition report: In excellent, fully restored condition. Rewired to Australian safety standards using gold silk electrical cord, with a foot-switch.
