A French Louis XVI style, eight arm, gilt bronze and cut crystal chandelier of wonderful luminosity, decorated with a central crystal baluster surrounded by flowing swags of crystal-bead chains, and with shaped crystals drops. Each of the lights fitted with a finely scalloped crystal drip-tray. Please note the jewellery-like detail in the cast, gilt and chased work of the arms and drip-trays. Retaining its original ceiling-cup and faceted crystal plinth ball. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
Condition report: Complete and in excellent condition, fully cleaned and rewired to Australian safety standards.
Dimensions: Diameter 61 cm, height 57 cm plus chain. Current overall 'drop' is 110 cm. Please let us know if you require a specific drop from your ceiling for this light.
