A Louis XIV Tabouret Stool

An elegant 19th century French Louis XIV style finely carved and turned walnut banquette, the baluster-turned legs joined by a shaped 'H' stretcher. Retaining its original patina, nicely burnished and faded. Upholstered in an old velvet, edged by bronze studs. Area of Paris, circa 1870. 

Condition report: In good condition, needing the joins checked and the fabric may be reusable. Needing a wax and buff to bring a glow back to the timbers.
