A large and comfortable 19th century French, Louis XV style, solid beechwood Bergère en Gondole 'tub' armchair standing on elegantly carved Cabriole legs, the curved back rest flowing down past the curved arm-rests. Typically, the oval shaped chair seat and the back rest are fitted with finely woven rattan, the curved flanks are fitted with a double-layer of woven rattan. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: Complete and in fully restored condition.

Dimensions: Width 64 cm, depth 60 cm, height of back 101 cm.
