A fine, Parisian quality, 19th century French Napoleon III period, gilt pastille-work Louis XVI style mirror, the allegorical pediment with chamfered corners, surmounted by an out-sized laurel wreath (an allegory for Success) and with crossed quiver and torch (an allegory for Passion and Intelligence), the mirror frame is decorated with Classic acanthus leaf and string-of-pearl patterns. Retaining the original, hand-bevelled mirror plate. Paris, circa 1870.
