A large, vintage Finnish French Art Deco period screen designed by the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto (1898-1976), the fine pitch pine slats held together by internal steel wires, which allow this screen to be flexible and to be standing upright with a wave-like shape. One of the ends retaining the maker's brass tag, "SNSA". Area of Helsinki, circa 1930.
