An early 20th century French Louis XVI style finely carved and off-white painted bed, the header and footer with shaped top rails decorated with haut-relief carved paterae, finials and fluted pilasters. Fitted with the original, finely woven and criss-cross pattern painted rattan, the footer with double rattan panels. Born as a double-bed, this bed can be adapted take a standard Australian Queen size mattress (please contact our shop regarding required alterations). Area of Paris, circa 1930.
Condition report: Complete and in excellent condition, requiring cleaning and possibly adapting to a queen size.
Dimensions: Width 150 cm, height of header 120 cm.
