A French Regence Armchair

A fine, large and comfortable 19th century French Louis XIV/ Regence style, carved solid walnut Fauteuil armchair, decorated with elegantly shaped arm-rests, standing on finely carved Cabriole legs joined by shaped 'X' stretcher base. Retaining an old 'flame pattern' tapestry upholstery, in good and usable condition. Please note the beautiful sweep of the armrests and the high quality of the haut-relief carved decorations. Area of Paris, circa 1900.
Condition report: In good and original condition, showing slight wear in keeping with its age. Needing a wax and buff.
