An early 20th century French Louis XVI style finely carved and painted double-bed bed, the header's top rail decorated with an outsized knotted bow, with paterae and fluted pilasters surmounted by pine cone finials. Area of Paris, circa 1900.
Condition report: In good and original, fully restored condition. The side rails have been sympathetically extended to accommodate a standard Australian 203 cm mattress length. This bed now comes with a newly made slatted base
Dimensions: External dimensions: width 143 cm, height of bed head 142 cm, height of footer 84 cm. Rail length is 206 cm.
