A French Regence Door Knocker

A mid 19th century French Napoleon III period, Regence style finely cast bronze knocker, the heaqvy, sheped ring handle hinged onto a shaped strike pad decorated with stylised haut-relief floral and foliate decorations. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: In good and original condition and retaining the original bronze patina, showing surface wear in keeping with its age.

Dimensions: 21 x 15 cm.
