A 20th century Persian Afshar design, tightly-woven pure wool rug from the area of Southern Persia, the woven wool with a three medallion patterns and with borders of nomadic motifs in colours of rust red, beige and pale and navy blue. The wool is very soft to the touch. Area of Afshar, circa 1960.

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing slight wear in keeping with its age.
