A large 19th century French 'Belle Epoque' period poster from the Parisian "Theatre du Rire", a theatre specialised in humorous plays. The nature of this humour is portrayed in this somewhat "piquant" theme. Designed by E. Dorda and printed by the "Imprimerie Marchand". Professionally mounted and framed (please note that in these photos there are reflections from glass front). Area of Paris, Circa 1890.
