An exceptionally large and well-built, finely detailed model of a pond sloop yacht, just slightly bigger than a Marblehead class, retaining all of its sails all adjustable Bermuda rigging, and retaining its original stand. Built of planked Kauri pine, with mahogany toe-rails and king plank. Note the perfectly-functional Braine steering gear. A true pond-sailor, the bottom of the hull is lead-ballasted. Note, as a comparison, the size of this boat pictured next to a Champagne bottle. Area of New Zealand, circa 1930.
