A French Empire period baluster element turned into a tall table lamp, the finely cast iron baluster electrified and fitted with an antique parchment shade, standing on a heavy steel plinth for good balance. The baluster is from the area of Paris, circa 1810.
Condition report: In good and original condition, the baluster showing erosion in keeping with its long use outdoors. The lamp is fully wired to Australian safety standards, using black silk electrical cord with a cord-switch.
