An Important Directoire Armoire

A large-size and fine, late 19th century French Directoire style, carved and off-white ivory and blue-highlight painted three-door Armoire, the doors fitted with their original shaped and bevelled mirrors. The stepped-front facade is decorated with a central 'Chapeau de Gendarme' pediment and finials, and with haut-relief carved paterae, crisp foliate foliate scrolls, acanthus leaf mouldings and fluted pilasters. Internally fitted with adjustable-height shelves and shallow drawers. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition.
