A French LXV Sleigh Bed

A fine, late 19th century French Louis XV style, haut-relief carved solid oak ‘Lit en Bateau’ bed, the header and footer splaying out in the form of a sleigh, fitted with its two original, elegantly shaped and carved rails. This sleigh bed will also make an ideal sofa. Area of Paris, circa 1900.

Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition.

Dimensions: Width 90 cm, height 85 cm, length of rails 190 cm.
