A French Jardinière Planter

A fine, late 19th century French Louis XV style cast iron Jardinière planter, oval-shaped and fitted with out-sized handles, decorated with bas-relief garlands and foliate motifs. This planter has an old coat of silver paint, now aged and flaky. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
