A French Louis XV 'Duchesse' Sofa Bed

A 19th century French, Napoleon III period, Louis XV style Parisian 'Duchesse' sofa bed, the carved solid walnut Cabriole legs, rails and arm rests are decorated with haut-relief carved foliate motifs and with bouquets of flowers. An item often used in a bedroom, this sofa is designed for comfort and for relaxation. Area of Paris, circa 1860.
Condition report: In good and original condition, the walnut retaining its original patina. The fabric requiring re-covering. Please feel free to ask for a restoration quote from our workshop.
