A pair of mid 19th century French Napoleon III period, Regence style, finely carved solid walnut 'Fauteuils Cabriolet' of very good quality and proportions. The shaped back-rests above sweeping arms, fitted onto comfortable, broad and deep seats. Not the quality of the haut-relief carved decorations on the back, armrests and of the aprons and legs. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
