A set of six early 20th century French Provincial hand-carved solid oak Provincial Louis XV style ladder-back chairs, each chair fitted with a large ‘envelope’ rush seat. The top rails of the curved backs are decorated with haut-relief carved shell motifs. Lightweight and with comfortable seats, these are good and sturdy everyday-use chairs. Area of Southern France, circa 1930.

Condition report: In original, unrestored condition. Needing some tightening, a clean, wax and buff. Please enquire for a quote.
