A large mid 20th century French glazed majolica rooster of very fine craftsmanship and in very good condition. Typical work from the area of Normandy, this rooster was designed to be placed as a finial on a roof, as an "epi de futage", designed with a hole in the base, used for securing it. Area of Rouen, circa 1950.
