A collectible French Calvados bottle fitted internally with a painstakingly made, pyrographed timber man playing 'Petanque' - the figure assembled inside the bottle (like a ship in a bottle). This recycled bottle displays the hobby of a French farmer, made in his quieter months of the year. It would normally have been filled and re-filled with Calvados from the farmer's barrel, for home use. Area of Normandy, early 20th century.

Condition report: In good and original condition. Calvados brandy is not included.
