A French Regence Armchair
A large 19th century French Regence style, carved solid walnut armchair decorated with the typical broad back rest and sweeping arm rests, standing on "Os de MoutonĀ legs" joined by a shaped 'H' stretcher base. Retaining its original and nicely faded tapestry fabric edged with bronze studs. Please note: this armchair's seat is tall enough for a person to sit on it at a desk, or a table. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition.The tapestry may need some steam cleaning.
Dimensions: Width 70 cm, depth 80 cm, height of back 125 cm. Seat height 50 cm.
