A pair of 19th century French Louis XV style, Napoleon III period gilt bronze firedogs decorated with finely cast, chased and gilt foliate scrollwork. The rear of the firedogs fitted with the original steel support bars. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition. Requiring gentle cleaning and polishing to make the bronze glow.
Dimensions: 46 x 24 cm, height 46 cm.
