Restorations

Miguel trained in conservation of antique timbers at the Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro in Florence (1978-1980) and has run a restoration workshop since then, first in Florence and then in Melbourne. The key to good conservation work is in the ‘conservation’ aspect of the work – to preserve the character of the items, and to as much as possible, leave the effects of weather, time and wear and tear on them.
