A very fine pair of 19th century French Louis XVI style carved, painted and gilded 'Fauteuils Cabriolets' armchairs, the medallion backs, the arm rests and the seats fitted with their original Aubusson tapestries. The underside of the armchairs with the original maker's label, from when these armchairs were entered into an exhibition in Tours in 1892 where they won an award, the Diplôme d'Honneur.

Condition report: In excellent and un-restored condition, retaining the original finishes and patination. The tapestries are all in good condition, requiring some small points of stitching where loose.
