A Pair of Chateau’s Doors

StockID: 4123

Reference No: Mx

An exceptional pair of large-sized 19th century Napoleon III period painted oak entrance doors, retaining their original surrounding door frame and 'fan light' windows. This door once adorned the facade of a Chateau and typical of its provenance is the quality of the intricate mouldings, corbels, pilasters and capitols, shell-motif pediments and the cast iron grilles. Click here to see this door in its entirety, on here , on here and here to view details of these doors.

Condition report: In good and unrestored condition. Underneath the peeling paint the solid oak structure is in good condition. These doors could be repainted, or be brought back to a rich oak colour.
