A very fine Louis XV style tulipwood, mahogany and boxwood-inlaid desk, the surfaces cross-banded and decorated with book-matched inlaid panels. Fitted with chased gilt bronze handles and mounts depicting foliate Rococo motifs. The top's edge with a gilt brass moulding, and retaining its original and nicely-worn gilt and embossed calf leather. Paris, circa 1900.
