A very fine and elegant French Louis XVI style ebonised timber and gilt-brass bureau-plat desk of very good design and proportions the top fitted with pale, gilt-edged calf leather , a pull-out extension opening at each end. Simply decorated with typical French Neoclassical escutcheons and gilt brass mouldings around the drawers.
